A quick honest note from us about how to actually get value out of AI blog content.
Why we built this tool
The web is being flooded with low-quality, generic, AI-rewritten blogs — and it's hurting honest tradespeople. Google's ranking systems are pushing back hard against this kind of content (especially for trades, which Google classes as YMYL — "Your Money or Your Life" — because the work affects safety). Blogs full of AI-generated filler now rank worse than they did two years ago, and that trend will only continue.
We built this tool to help raise the standard, not lower it. The prompt it produces is designed to force AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to build a blog around your real jobs and real experience instead of generic filler. But that only works if you actually give it a real job to work with.
How to use this tool properly
- Fill the form in honestly and in detail. The "Real Job Story" field is the most important by a mile. One genuine job you did dramatically improves what the AI produces. Vague inputs produce vague, unrankable blogs.
- Treat the AI output as a first draft, never a final page. AI gets you about 70% of the way there. The remaining 30% — the bit that makes the difference between "ranks" and "doesn't rank" — is your human polish.
- Read every word before publishing. Edit anything that doesn't sound like you. Remove generic phrases. Add a sentence or two in your own voice.
- Add real photos from the job. Stock images don't help you. Photos from the actual work — with proper alt text — are direct E-E-A-T evidence no AI can replicate.
- Never copy-paste straight to your website. This is the biggest mistake we see. Blogs published verbatim from AI rank poorly, hurt your domain reputation, and damage trust with the customers who land on them.
The honest truth about AI content
AI is good at structure, comprehensive coverage, and producing strong first drafts quickly. AI is bad at sounding genuinely human, capturing your voice, and producing content that only an experienced tradesperson could write. Google's systems and your potential customers can both spot the difference — even if it's subtle.
A blog that reads like it was written by an actual electrician/plumber/builder with years of real experience will always outperform one that reads like it was written by an algorithm. That's not us trying to sell you something — that's just how Google now works, and how customers now read.
When to use this tool vs hire a human writer
Use this tool if: you're writing your own blogs, you're prepared to put real effort into the form fields and the editing afterwards, and you understand the output needs human polish before publishing.
Hire a real writer (us, or anyone good) if: you don't have time to do the editing properly, you want content that's genuinely indistinguishable from a human-written piece, or you want blogs that compete at the highest level for competitive terms. Our copywriting service costs less than most tradespeople think — and produces work that ranks where AI content struggles. Get in touch if you'd like to chat about it.
Our ethos
We don't want to flood the web with more generic AI content. We built this tool because we'd rather give tradespeople a structured, honest way to use AI properly than watch them paste low-quality blogs straight from ChatGPT and damage their own websites in the process. If you use this tool the right way, your content will be better than 90% of what's out there. If you skip the real job story and the editing, it'll be no better than the rest. The choice is yours — but we wanted to be straight with you about it.
Before we unlock the tool, please confirm you understand:
We ask this because Google now actively demotes unedited AI content for trades. We want you to get value from this tool — not damage your rankings.
✍️ AI Blog Prompt Generator for Tradespeople
Create a Blog Post That Actually Ranks (Built Around a Real Job)
This tool builds a ready-made prompt to feed into ChatGPT (or Claude, Gemini, your writer of choice) to produce a blog post that ranks in modern Google — not the Google of 5 years ago.
Google now rewards content that demonstrates Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trust (known as E-E-A-T). The first "E" — Experience — is the big one for trades. It means content that proves you've actually done the work, not generic "here's why lighting is important" filler.
The single most powerful blog you can write is one built around a real job you've done. "I fitted LED decking lights on a job in Chatham last week, here's what the customer wanted and how I did it" beats ten generic articles, for rankings and for winning trust. That's exactly what this tool forces the AI to do.
Important: AI is a writing assistant, not a ghostwriter. Always review, edit, and add your personal voice before publishing. For YMYL trades (electrical, gas, structural) Google specifically demotes content that reads like AI-generated filler — your real input through this form is what prevents that.
Tip: The "Real Job Story" field is the single biggest E-E-A-T signal you can give. Skip it and you'll get the same generic blog as everyone else.
