Search "electrician" plus any town and look at what comes up. Directory sites, big national firms and a handful of local electricians who've got their website right. I help electricians become one of that handful.
Why SEO for electricians is different
You're not trying to rank everywhere. You're trying to rank in the towns you actually work in, for the jobs you actually want. That changes everything about how a website should be built. Here's why most SEO companies get it wrong.
How I get electricians ranking
- A page for every job type you want more of. EICRs, consumer units, rewires, EV chargers, fault finding. One page each, written about how you do the work.
- A page for every area you cover. Not copy and paste pages with the town name swapped, but proper pages about working in that area.
- Blogs that link it all together. A blog about a consumer unit swap in a particular town links to your consumer unit page and that town's page, building both up.
- Your Google Business Profile. Filled in properly and kept active, because that's how you get into the map results.
- The technical side done right. Schema, page titles, speed and mobile, all handled.
What doesn't work
Geotagging your photos doesn't help. It's a myth. Neither does buying links, paying for "AI mentions" or filling your site with AI written blogs. AI blogs can actually hurt you. Your experience as an electrician is the thing no competitor can copy, and it's what Google is looking for.
You can see it working
