I've been doing SEO for tradespeople for over 20 years. In that time I've watched SEO companies come and go, selling tradespeople things that sound clever and do nothing. So let me tell you plainly what I do, and what I don't.
What I do
I do on site SEO, properly. That means everything on your website that helps Google understand what you do and where you do it:
- Structure. A page for each job type and each location you cover, all linked together so Google sees the full picture.
- Content. Real words about real jobs, written by people, never churned out by AI.
- The technical side. Page titles, descriptions, schema, speed, mobile and everything else Google reads behind the scenes.
- Your Google Business Profile, if you want it managed. See Google Business Profile management.
- Keeping an eye on it. I watch your Search Console and your enquiries, and fix things before they become problems.
What I don't do
No link building. I don't sell link packages and I don't believe in them for tradespeople. A local electrician doesn't need hundreds of links from websites nobody reads. They need a website that properly explains what they do, where, and why they're good at it.
No monthly SEO reports. Reports are easy to dress up. You get your own Google Search Console and your own MLT Tracker login, so you can see your visits and calls for yourself, straight from the source.
No AI optimisation packages. ChatGPT and Google's AI find local trades using the same things Google always has: good content, reviews, your Business Profile and a well built site. If your site is built properly, it's already done. Here's the honest truth about ChatGPT.
The honest bit
I can optimise your site all day long. But the thing that moves you up Google is content about your work, and that has to come from you. Your photos, your jobs and the areas you want to be found in. Send it on WhatsApp and we'll do the rest. My team will chase you for it, because it matters that much.
If writing isn't your thing, that's fine. I've built free service page and location page prompt generators to help, or my team can write your blogs for you.
SEO isn't sold separately
On site SEO is part of every website I build, for £137 + VAT a month. It's not an add on, because a website without it is just a brochure. See what's included.
